Leggings/Tights for hot weather that hold up
I have been riding with these:
https://www.underarmour.com/en-us/p/...gs%2FBaselayer
and after 2-3 months the knees fail. The material starts to spread at the knee from all the flexing, along with the sun damage, and then it just blows out. I really like the compression and the sun protection. I am looking for something that might be more long lasting and can be used in the heat(riding in the south). Any ideas?

I have a pair of Specialized sun sleeves that I use all the time in the summer. These are probably similar and won't have you putting more insulation between your legs under your shorts or bibbs in the hot weather. Proper pair of bike shorts or bibbs doesn't need anything underneath them IMO.

Pearl Izumi has some sun knees and sun legs too.

I'm sure others make them too.
And what temps are you using those in? They say that they are Heat Gear which to me means warmth yet you seem to talk about only wanting sun protection and mention "south" which makes me think you ride in warm weather.

Thinner leg warmers work well for me. You've the option of taking them off later in the day when the sun is lower and less intense.
