decals

I need to have a couple of decals made for 2 frames. Does anyone know who could do this? I have a photo of the original decal.

Thanks

The last time I had decals made for a bike I used an online place called Sticky Life (https://www.stickylife.com). Turned out pretty good. But more recently…when the topic of custom decals has come up on these forums…others have suggested printing them DIY on clear adhesive film available at office supply stores (not sure if that requires special ink). Perhaps you could take the graphic to the office supply store on a USB thumb drive and print it there????

They've been around a long time. Not certain if they've changed hands. Decals can be expensive, especially if you need custom made decals. However they really are important to make a vintage bike look correct and beautiful.

I've had excellent work done by my local sign shop - the kind that does commercial stickers/decals for commercial vehicles, customizations, etc. they looked just like original and have proven to be as durable as OEM stickers. They had a wide variety of backing materials, colors, clear, thicknesses, etc. I had mine based on pieces of old decals I had, some measurements, some web images and a small bit of give and take getting the font and colors right But it wasn't expensive at all.

Regarding Velocals…they have a good stock of decals from many well-known brands. But when I tried to get them to create decals for a lesser-known bike that they had none of…they really didn’t want to consider it. My guess is they’d be the same for custom decals. If you’re looking to replace decals from a manufacturer…they’re OK. But if it’s something custom you want they’re probably not.
