Found an old receipt from a wheel build...

While I was looking for something this morning, I found an old Bicycling Magazine Complete Guide to Bicycle Maintenance and Repair. I noticed that there was something between some pages, it was a receipt from Colorado Cyclist dated 1/28/1991 for the parts for my first wheel build 31 years ago, I already had a set of tri-color 36h hubs for the build:

1. Campagnolo Delta Rims, 36h $39.99 ea, $79.98 for the pair
2. DT 15 gauge spokes - (2) 20-packs $4.99 ea, $9.98 for the pair
3. DT 14 gauge spokes - (2) 20-packs $4.99 ea, $9.98 for the pair
4. Alloy Spoke Nipples (14g) - (40) @ $0.09 each, $3.60
5. Alloy Spoke Nipples (15g) - (40) @ $0.09 each, $3.60

Shipping - $5.00, the UPS number was only (6) numeric digits

Grand total - $112.14

I'd bet the hubset was less than $100 back then, so I had at most $200 in these wheels. Wish I still had them now...

I think the spokes for my latest 32h wheel build was more than that invoice, I'll have to check.

If you find an old pay stub from 1991, I think it'll all make sense.
