Cycling shoes not pink enough!

Color me spoiled. I bought these Pearl Izumi shoes used, cheaply, and wore them a lot but always wanted a brighter pink pair. Found my next pair used and again, cheap, on Poshmark just 2 days ago. Guess I'll sell or share the first pair. So happy to be bright enough!!!

People have been painting their shoes a long time. Maybe you should paint the first pair and keep them as comfortable seconds.

I knew a guy who sprayed his boots with krylon instead of polishing them.

Another off topic FWIW - I haven't found a good shoe cover for MTB shoes yet. Haven't really looked very hard though. If you have suggestions (toe or full shoe), let me know.

Sorry for the digression. I posted the above optic pink covers mostly to be a funny guy to the OP. but it might actually be an option.

Yeah, Krylon has a a spray paint group for 'Plastic' surfaces. Not sure if they have Magenta (OP's 'Bright' Pink Shoes above).
If a real shiny surface is desired,; whatever paint color you use, put a final coat of Clear Acrylic on last...
Also, Black is very hard to cover with color - the over-color always appears darker, because of the black base. Too many coats and the suurface will develop cracks sooner. A thinner coat is more flexible and looks best over time.
Best is to start with White base color / shoes.

Dog avoidance advice would also be unnecessary

Depends on the dog.
Our Doberman might find a way to hit you with her nose until you give her affection.

I've encountered big dogs do that to me. It's not any less scary. I stop and feel like "Torpedo incoming!! Brace for impact!! and surprised it's nothing more than a wet nose!

Wow, you people are FUNNY.

I take spin class at the gym 2 or 3 times a week. No dogs there. As for my kit, I wear whatever I cobble together which was free or used on Poshmark and ebay. I rarely buy full priced padded shorts but if I do, I get them from Aerotechdesigns's Wild Spandex selection.

As for the rest of my cycling cleats, they're all pretty bright and again, purchased mainly used online.
