"Family" was a trendy thing to participate in... The whole "I" & "ME!" thing isn't.

I saw plenty of them yesterday on the Bruce Freedman. I'm not seeing them on school days now, but still plenty on weekends.

I think it was a lot more basic than that. The playgrounds and everything indoors were closed.

Same here. On Sunday I drafted a father and his young daughter as I was limping home with a messed up tubeless tire that I had to put a tube in. See thread in the Road Forum. Is this tyre toast?

On the MUP I was riding, there's a winding section where it merges with a lakeside footpath filled with dogs and kids, and you really can't see around the curves, so I consider it unsafe to pass at any speed. I was "drafting" on a family of 5 going about 5 mph for a quarter mile or so. It actually was a nice break and the kids were having a lot of fun "racing" me.

Hold on! You were actually being mindful of your own safety and the safety of others on an MUP?!?! Pictures or it didn’t happen!

Around here MTBs and gravel bikes are both fairly available. Road bikes, especially high end ones, are still largely unavailable. I see lots of newer-looking riders on '20-'22 gravel bikes around here as we have extensive gravel riding options in the area but I don't see a lot of newer riders on the road. I know the LBSs are struggling around here as low availability and shrinking demand start to bite, also Specialized and Trek going direct sales didn't help.

I'll stick with my prior prediction and say 1Q23-2Q23 will be the time to hit The Pro's Closet for some great deals. I think we need another year before people start getting rid of stuff. Also, inventory should be increasing by that point and hopefully inflation will be tapering.
