There is a wheel specifically designed to prevent toe stroke caused by toe overlap. You have to take time to get pedal timing right, but once you do, it is very effective.

It's well-known that cheap Chinese bikes are designed for Chinese people, who tend to have small feet. Grow smaller feet and you won't have a problem.

I think toe interference is a design feature. It lets you know when you are about to futch up!
Always amusing to read the imagined horrors of those just discovering it for the first time. I guess I must have discovered it when riding my first bike back in the mid 60's. I suppose only the neighbor kids had to listen to me gripe if I did even gripe about it. Not the hole world.
