Bianchi seat

I have spinal stenosis and riding bikes really irritates and inflames it. Any suggestions on a seat that will absorb as most or ALL of the of motion that puts me in so much pain?

Get a bike fit and the expert may suggest the seat you need.

My friend with spinal stenosis rides a recumbent.

I have a seat that I really like, but it deals more with crotch discomfort. I also have a Kinetik spring seatpost, which, for me, removes about 3/4" worth of whatever irregularities you are riding over. No idea if it would help.

You need to explain what the motions are that cause pain. If any vertical movement is an issue, then the place to start is with a suspension post. There are many on the market. The next step from there probably is a recumbent.
