Where can I find these handlebar grips?

Hello,

Ok so, almost 11 years ago I bought these... how can I call them? "segmented" handlebar grips. I forgot from where did I bought them but I know for sure that it was online. They look like one inch rubber rings of different colors. So you have to add them up until you have the desired length. I currently have 7 on each end and I need to buy more. I tried to attach a photo but the system didn't allow me to include it because I have less that 10 posts.

Can you please help me identifying them and telling me where can I buy them?

Regards.

I'm amazed that you've been a member for almost 10 yrs and you only have 5 posts.
Sorry, never heard of such a product

SurferRosa c'mon no, no and no! without the bar end plugs that's completely unsafe, totally unacceptable.

Anyways I found them...

Spurcycle Grip Rings and (SurferRosa pay attention) Spurcycle grip rings end plugs.

Again do a google search so you can see them because I can't post the links. I found them in Amazon but not the color I want.

Eeehhh MarcusT I even forgot that I was a member of the forum, not even that but that my account was still active! That previous post I made was from 2012 and in 2014, I had a nasty crash on my bicycle. I broke split my humerus shoulder bone (2 titanium screws), and later I had to get a ACDF fusing 6 neck vertebrae due to degenerative complications from that crash (more titanium screws). Oh boy I'm totally screwed.

I'm on it... this is going to be #7. So, keep em' coming.

By the way found them (the Spurcycle Grip Rings), in color yellow at ebay, the ones I have are black and white but yellow is gonna have to be. Contacted the manufacturer and they told me that they are no longer making them.

Interesting. Looks like these started as a Kickstarter. Available at Amazon and other sites but not shown on the Spurcycle site.

Thing is that they are actually very good, even after this many years they look like new. End plugs are another story, the metal parts are all rusted.

rusted? They're not alloy?

Well is actually only the screw to fix the cap. You have to use a hex key I don't know if it can be replaced and I don't want to mess with them because I cannot find them anywhere.

I'd look on McMaster Carr for the hardware.

Spurcycle hasn't made those grip rings for years. If you are seeing stock somewhere be aware it has been quite a number of years since they made those I think I can recall in 2016 they were on closeout on Spurcycle and Merry Sales had just a couple colors in stock and not much of them.

I was going to reply yesterday but the system told me that I cannot post more than 5 messages in 24 hours. It seems that everything is against me reaching that 10 posts mark.

Troul thanks for the suggestion, I'm checking the site.

veganbikes now that you mentioned it. I don't know why this didn't occurred to me before. I did a search in the forum and found that member Readygetsetben post the same question back in 2015. In that post that Readygetsetben titled "Spurcycle GripRings?" you can see a photo, and yes they look very similar to Surferrosa's baby picture... ok but without the cute baby. Here is the link to that post.

Now with that said, check what I found. There is an Italian company that is manufacturing basically the same grip. The only difference is the pattern of the grip, but is the same concept. Here is the partial link: BRN Bernardi Grip Rings Give it sometime, the page loads slowly, then keep scrolling down and you will see them. I found that this Italian online reseller is selling them and very cheap less than a dollar per piece. The problem is that the shipping from Italy to US is very expensive.

You could get different colored ESI grips and slice them into 1” lengths.

I got you idea and it doesn't have to be cut at one inch. I can cut them at the necessary length to use them a filler for the space I want to cover.

Thanks.

theres gotta be another source for those. I'd think those would be a fixie desired thing?
