As a taller person, I appreciate the added length on the legs and arms. I have a couple of vintage jerseys that I swear the short sleeves look like little cap sleeves.

I want to know why the waist is so damn high on cycling shorts. I have to put chamois butter on my nipples to keep them from chafing on the waist band of my shorts.

sorry, didn't read the entire thread... were duathlon shorts mentioned? I have a pair made by LG. They are not as long as typical cycling shorts and have less padding. Maybe the OP would prefer these to move their tan line up.
