Thank goodness. I was getting too much sleep for awhile there. 😵😋😁😉

I'm okay not gaining light in the morning. I'm just happy days are getting longer and soon there'll be daylight remaining in the evening after normal working hours.

RB1-luvr 12-22-22 09:50 AM

On one hand it's great that we'll have more light, but on the other, now the cold days really begin.

stardognine 12-22-22 09:51 AM

And another thing, just look at all those 2s in today's date! You folks better be in a safe place at 2:22, or ya might slide right off the planet!!! 😲🚴

Troul 12-22-22 09:53 AM

if the change also immediately brought warmer { 50F+ } weather, i'd jump for joy.

<--- No jumping from this guy.

thank you for the reminder, I need to get more night rides in!

Rolla 12-22-22 10:08 AM

I don't mind the shorter days. Had a wonderful night ride last night, checking out the holiday lights and enjoying the quiet streets.

Although I generally prefer riding during the daylight hours…I do enjoy an occasional nighttime ride. Moon, stars, houses lit up, and the stillness.

Oh absolutely, who needs daylight savings time? The way sunset will be stretching out in the evening.... A couple years ago I would have had no idea what you were talking about..... Lol.

Kind of hard to do that here in Ne. Wind chill last night was 50 below zero!!!!

Last night, Dear Wife and I noted the passing of the solstice. Bofus: "Oh crap - the days are getting longer." An byproduct of living in a land where the sun is actively trying to kill you 5 months out of the year. But the other 7 months (e.g. now) aren't bad. And even in the worst of the weather, you don't have to shovel or scrape it.

I'll be glad when it doesn't get dark at 5 PM any more.

I’ll be happy when it doesn’t get dark at 4:15 PM

It's 4:30, and only "starting" to get dark. 😁 But it's been really foggy here lately, all day long, so kinda hard to tell when it gets dark. 🤔😒

Don’t miss the dense Tooley fog when I went to UCD (or the summers).

6:58 am Wifey asks where the heck are you going I said free breakfast in the lobby she said but it’s still dark out it’s 4am. She’s probably still snoring and I’m ready to go. This might be a long week off

Milton Keynes 12-26-22 09:36 AM

At any rate I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can get outside and ride again. Spinning on my bike in my office is OK but fairly boring.
