'22 last ride, poor man's 11 speed
Today being the last day of 2022, I had been planning on an extended bike ride. However, due to hard rain today, yesterday was the last for the year. I got in 30 miles on my Poprad that now has 6400 bar end levers in friction mode, 46/38 up front, and 11 speed 11-32 at the rear. I had tried 11 speed with down tube levers, friction mode, and a different derailleur, and could not get all 11 gears to work. I could use either the 1 or the 11 cog, but not both. That was with 6 speed dt levers and 6 speed 105 rd, 1050 IIRC. The new set up has a 4601 GS RD. The shifting is really good, and this set up is going to be long term. Still has a 10 speed chain, but seems to not matter. Racks, basket, bags and fenders are all quickly removable/replaceable, a matter of minutes. A very nice last ride of the year on a poor man's 11 speed. Friction shifting is so forgivable.

Well you got 30 miles more than I did today. Dreary and drizzly here. So good going putting 2022 behind you.
