If a written word seems wrong, it is helpful to see if one of the letters could be exchanged with a nearby letter in the qwerty keyboard to find the correct spelling.

In this context as there was discussion earlier about how stiff disc forks supposedly were, it should not have taken a huge leap of imagination to deduce that the word stuff was misspelled and was meant to mean stiff.

This is again a skill I believe should be learned in primary school...
I've never been involved in a discussion about fork stiffness, so you'll have to forgive me for not getting the context.

Nope. That about does it!

Says the guy who consistently mentions the magic ride of his hand-built retro vintage bike. What would you consider a high-end racing bike?

This also ignores the fact that inertia works both ways - it may slow acceleration but it also provides a flywheel effect once up to speed, so who's to say which is more important, if either even is a large enough effect to make any significant difference?

Yep--I love the ride. Nothing inconsistent in what I say. But it would probably be terribly "uncomfortable" for lots of the octogenarians who frequent this place, who make it sound like "comfort" is the end-all, be-all of cycling.

I love how this troll thread has devolved in the FNG child and FOG child arguing with everyone, while paceline can get all snobby, DS threads and users quickly get binned there.

Hmmm...I can only think of one guy who says that kind of stuff, and is that age.

Unless you… what? Is this an “obvious” typo too?

Y’all know there’s an “edit” feature, right? Makes it easy to fix “typos.”

Right. It's like vanity license plates with gibberish that means something only to the owner. What's the point?

Here's evidence that disc-compatible wheels are a significant performance handicap, wheel weight and rotational inertia being the #1 most critical part of bike performance.

Shimano Road Wheelsets Explained | SHIMANO BIKE-US

Note the specs on the rim brake clincher wheel WH-9000 that is 200g per set lighter than the most expensive disc wheel, and costs about half as much.

This table doesn't include tubular rim options (probably because these are team issue only), which come in at less than 1,200g for the set.

Clear evidence that disc wheels are heavier than rim wheels, and tubular wheels are lighter than clinchers.
