Speedplay X series pedal users need new cleats?
As a lifelong Speedplay X/2 series pedal user, I wanted to put this out there for any other Speedplay X series users that might have worn out their cleats and realized that replacement cleats are nowhere to be found. Paceline users to the rescue. A group of guys over there have put together a groupbuy to purchase just the replacement springs that wear out, no need for a whole replacement cleat in most cases. The only problem is we need more people to get this going. Moderators, I hope this isn't against the rules to post this:

I'm in for the group buy. Speedplay X series are my favorite pedals of all time. It sure would be nice to get enough folks together to make this groupbuy a reality.

It's a good idea. I can't believe some 2nd tier cycling equipment maker hasn't just started making some X-series stuff -- patent must have expired a long time ago.

Sounds like someone should approach Wellgo. (The makers of LOOK Delta compatible pedals and cleats. I`ve been riding their Deltas for 20 years. I cannot tell without looking whether I have Wellgo or LOOK cleats on my shoes.)
