jealous :(
As I drive to work or go on lunch breaks I see cyclist on the roads all the time. I dont know their work schedule but I am pretty jealous that I cant be riding with them :(
Anyone else get bitter when they are at work and they see other cyclist on their commute ? |
Not jealous or bitter. A little envious and wistful.
|
I think you are actually envious, not jealous, but anyway: I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say "bitter", but whenever I see a cyclist and I'm in my car, I frequently get a twinge, wishing I was out there too.
EDIT: cc_rider beat me to the grammar lesson :D |

EDIT: cc_rider beat me to the grammar lesson :D The worst is when I work on Saturdays and I see a whole group of cyclist...I am ready to cry  |
My wife actually gets pretty annoyed with me. On the weekends when we are running mundane errands that I somehow didn't find a way to get out of, we will pass a cyclist or cyclists and I always whimper like a little puppy.

If conditions allow, perhaps you, too, can become a bike commuter.

Mine too. What annoys her the most is that I can hear a spinning freewheel from about five blocks away, and I always look up. She bikes now too, though, and as we pass cyclists on our way to do errands she's pointing out all the bikes. "Honey, look! That girl's on a Cervelo. That guys on a Felt. A Waterford, those are custom, right? Hey, that guy's got an S-Works. After paying all that money for an S-Works you'd think he'd be moving a little faster." It's great. |
I really don't need to see another cyclist in order to wish I was riding. What frustrates me is to see the monsoon rain clouds building up as the work day comes to a close.

As for cyclist spotting, the best was last weekend as we pulled up to a stoplight and I was staring at a pretty attractive woman on a pretty sweet Orbea stopped at the same light. My wife caught me looking, but she knew all along that I was admiring the bike and its hourglass tubes, not the rider and her hourglass figure...and the thing is, she was right! A |

I see people at 11:00 riding through the streets, thats when it really hurts :( |
Forget the roads, I'm jealous of all the people here on BF who are able to ride daily or do hundreds of miles per week. I consider myself lucky to get in one 50-mile ride per week.

A I've done that too. And she knew exactly what I was staring at... the beautiful carbon fiber bike. Wives are smarter than we are. My wife's sport was soccer before 9 knee dislocations and a torn ACL. Knees are good things. |

And no, I haven't tried it with my clothes off. |
