Water and air pump
Hello guys! New member here. I didn't find a thread where I could fit my question and neither an answer when I used the search tool.
After riding my bike outdoors in dirty areas, I would like to wash it before puting it into the luggage of my car. My question to the more seasoned riders if you have / recommend a water pump to keep in the trunk of the car.
And since I am on a spending spree :-P , what are your recommendations for air pumps? Do you know if there is a product where both air + water pump are combined?
Thanks for all the help!

A electric pump is overkill. Get a garden sprayer. Example:
CHAPIN 20002 2 Gallon Lawn, Sprayer, Translucent White https://a.co/d/bbIqCu3

I've seen cx racers use what terry posted above. I am planning on buying one.

agree - garden sprayer is great to use if the bike is covered with mud etc
I’ve used them for years on dirt bikes and off road bicycles
but if the bike is primarily covered in dust etc - a dusting cloth will work well
after going over the frame, wheels, components, whatever with a dusting cloth - you can also wipe off the chain *** with the cloth ... they are amazing for cleaning a bike
*** the brand / type of chain lube can come into play here

Bounce the bike a few times to jolt 95% of the water off of it.

Seem to me an ordinary trigger-spray bottle would do fine; get a couple at a dollar store. If you want to get fancy with your cleanup, you could have two: one with some soap solution and the other plain water to rinse with.

I would get a hitch and a proper rack and then clean at home with a garden hose and brush. I would rather spend the time at home doing it right than just power washing it and throwing it in a car.
For air pumps no idea what bike you have and what tires you are running but if higher pressure tires Topeak Road Morph G and if higher volume tires Topeak Mountain Morph or if you want the gauge Topeak Turbo Morph has a digital one
