How busy are your handlebars?

Just curious. I have no less then 9 things on mine. 2 brake levers, 2 shifters, a Rear view mirror, Headlight, Bell, Compass (my navigation system), and a small Computer. 10 items if I include a reflector on the stem

I have 17 stuffed animals on my handlebars, but one doubles as a headlight.

Nope. But I do have a phone holder. I just don't use it. Not sure if I have room for it

Hey that's an idea. Maybe one with a bobbing head and sunglasses, like those little dogs that used to adorn the rear package tray on cars.

Handlebar tape, brifters, small computer, small bright light, and 2 thin straps from a small stem mount bag. I like having free area for variable hand movement/positioning. My favorite bars are now Ritchey Beacon. There is a lot of useable space on these bars, and the positioning, especially the brifters, has given much relief to my painfully arthritic thumbs

Typically: mirror on the left end, bar ends, brake levers, shifter levers, speedometer mount, a noisemaker of some sort, and a basket mount. Maybe a water bottle holder if no basket.

My bars are typically not that wide and have slight bends, which limits the linear space for mounting of objects.

Now that I think of it, I really should get an iPhone bracket so I can monitor the call girl listings here in 'General' before they evaporate. So let's say three items, provisionally four (or do the mounting bracket and my phone count as separate items?).

Edit: the op has helpfully answered the question above -- so provisionally, four items.

I don't count Handlebar grips and tape, and phone or light brackets I count as one with the item mounted.

2 STI levers on all my road bikes and gravel bike and an out front garmin mount on all.
So 3 things on my road bikes.
Gravel bike has 4 things since a small bar bag is attached.

Commuter?...GPS mount, 2 brake levers, and 2 bar end shifters.
So 5.

I add a light sometimes, but it doesn't stay on any particular bike.

Brifters & bar tape. That's it. On the stem front plate is an out front mount for a Garmin and under that is a GoPro mount for which to attach a headlight.

Why complicate matters? Cables are ugly. Accessories are clutter.
