Ok since going to SPD's I haven't fell over yet. (knock on wood)
But after a nice long ride today, I was running to town tonight in my truck, to rent Alexander. I am cruising into town and at the first red light I come to a stop. But right before I completley stop I twist my foot and try to unclip my sandle from the brake pedal  I was like DUH!!!! and then not even 10 min later I did it again lmao. Does this mean I am paranoid at falling over being clipped. Or just that I have a good habit going for me to unclip each time I stop? Maybe I am just a freak, because it seems after driving a standard then going back to my automatic truck, there is always once that I try to hit the clutch upon stopping. |

fatigue.... that's all...

Ya... I sometimes yell "hold your line" and "stoping" in a car... does that count?

Hey!
Your "paranoia" is if you ask me a normal thing. I had exactly the same feeling the first couple of times I used SPD's. As lot of things it is a case of getting used to. I tried to speed up this proces by twisting my ankle everytime before a stoplight a fast left/right corner, go so on. So you get a automatic reaction when something happens (I conditioned myself to shiftdown from my 53 to 39 and unclick the pedals at a stoplight. I don't even think about it anymore now when i am doing it, but when it was new i tried to keep my mind to it.) After a couple of times it is a second nature to you. Enojoy the Pedals!!! Kees |

Oh yeah... how many of you continue pulling in your left brake lever at lights thinking it's holding your clutch open?
|
your just practicing...:D

heh. i'm constantly yanking on my steering wheel to unweight the front wheels on bumps. SILLY TRICK! CARS CAN'T BUNNY-HOP!
yet another reason to get rid of my car :) I've very nearly tried to twist-shift the steering wheel as well, back when i had gripshifts. |
Back when I started in police work, I was driving a VW bug. The big, powerful patrol car was quite a change. Several times my training officer caught me reaching for the shift lever....
