European size

I am planning on purchasing new cloths in Europe and have one small problem. I am not sure what size will I be in European size.

I found the following size table in the site -
men΄s sizes:
• S = 2 (46)
• M = 3 (48)
• L = 4 (50)
• XL = 5 (52)
• XXL = 6 (54)
• XXXL = 7 (56)
• XXXXL = 8 (58)

If I am size 30-32 (waist) in pants, e.g. M in US size will I also be size M3 in Europe or it will be L4? What is the meaning of the numbers?

Thanks a lot.

It often varies by brand.

30-32" would be 3 or 4 Euro, but you may even find a brand where a 5 fits the bill.

Easy solution- try it on before you buy.
