Tire inflation question
Yesterday, I put more air into my tires, and now I seem to be going slower,when I had less air I was going faster, is this normal? What could be causing this to happen.

Properly inflated tires have a smaller contact patch and lower rolling resistance than underinflated tires. You should have been going faster when you had more air in your tires.
Is there some other factor here?:confused: Did you ride the same route? Were there headwinds? Were you tired? Are you drinking too much beer?

Thanks for your reply RG, I did ride the same route, but there was a bit of a wind in my face, maybe that was what caused it.

If your former air pressure was acceptable and the new one is higher than the posted pressure, it is possible that your tires were too hard and that you slowed down too much for bumps.

If you are talking mtb's then it could slow you down. Harder tires are harder to do drops and push over obstacles. This makes for a hard ride.
