Lateral tubes for mixte frame?

Lateral tubes for mixte frame?
I would like to have a mixte frame built for my wife, but no one can source the necessary lateral tubes. Framebuildersupply.com has the lugs needed, but they don’t seem to have the lateral tubes. Does anyone know where I can get some?
Btw, this will be a 70th birthday present for my wife. Right now she has an anglais frame, but it sometimes sways in curves and she fell recently when we hit a small patch of sand. I’ve tried for decades, but she can’t be convinced to get a men’s frame. Incidentally, I looked at the Soma Mixte but the geometry is too aggressive for touring and with fenders it only takes 28mm tires. All the other frames/bikes online don't meet her requirements.

Anyone that sells 4130 can sell you the tubes. I'm in the U.S., and I would probably buy them from McMaster Carr. Lateral tubes have fallen out of favor for step-through frames, a single tube is stiffer.
One mistake many have made with lateral tubes is not leaving enough clearance for the cassette on the drive side. That includes me, I have done it.

If they can't source tubes, you probably shouldn't work with them.
Pretty straightforward.

I just looked at the lugs. They have 14mm sockets for some weird reason. I think even in the metric world, 1/2" tubing is a lot more common. But anyway, I would either get lugs for a single tube or hammer the lugs closed a little. Framebuilder supply has lugs for a step through frame with a 1" top tube. You can use a second set of seat stays for diagonal tubes between the seat tube and the rear dropouts.
