Always carry a spare.
I met the amiable owner of these bikes today. 25yo dude who likes mountain biking.

I've seen this done a couple times over the years, but never had a close look at one before.
They guy built it himself, using an off-the-shelf tail rack (for a top box), and the top of a RockyMounts rack. |

Nice. I like it. But where is the battery? Unless it's carried in a backpack there isn't enough juice onboard to get to the end of a rural driveway. It also badly needs some custom fenders (with mudguards).
Battery = ?, but you must have the longest rural driveway in the World. 50miles, on lowest level assist, flatish terrain, EU 20kph on a 4 year old battery in a 31-ish pound bike. One's mileage may vary based on how much pedaling the cyclist prefers. Added another battery (not in pic) to essentially double the distance. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0fc08efbe7.jpg |

I think it needs a chopper fork, with the longest front center in cycling history.

Sorry, no, X2. Wife in Colorado, yesterday I was in Hog Heaven.
Did you ride Bob's vintage ride in North Bend on Sat 7/27? edit: I need replacements, but knees not on the list. |
Ewww ... to each their own, I guess, but a sidecar seems like a terrible thing to do to a bike. I couldn't ...
