The 3 hole to 2 hole adapter is a great idea, but the one Shimano put out is unusable because there are no forwards-backward adjustments possible.
The reason why it would be a great idea, is because when the pontoons wear out from walking, you can easily replace them. Whereas when the bottom of your SPD recessed-cleat shoes wear out from walking, you have to throw the shoes away. |
