I'm guilty. Also, after noticing that many of my rides ended with x.9 average speed, I will near hurt myself riding home to stay over y.0 . My ride home is a time killer in that it entails a few miles through town and a couple of hills. And I can't bring myself to lie to my ride log. 49.97 won't become 50. When I got a cycle computer, my buddy said
" You'll be a slave to that thing." I try to tell myself that he was wrong.

Is there a cycling term that I am not familure with that describes this?

Thanks

No. I log it accurately as 49.5.

However, when asked, I tell people that I did 50. Actually, I think I'd round 47 up to 50
