Hi,
I am a pretty regular size guy by american standards but a bit big for a biker. 5'10" 195-200.

Here is my issue, If I buy a jersey that fits my chest and waist (L or XL) the elastic on the sleeves digs into my biceps. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution or a recommendation for a brand of jersey that is biceps-friendly? It's not like I am packing giant Mr Universe size guns, but man, the marks left on my arms after yesterday's 3.5 hour ride lasted longer than the ride! All help appreciated!

Could you cut the seams on the sleeves a little, an then sew a little scrap of fabric to make a gusset for your ripped biceps?

Thanks Boston. I may wind up trying that but man, I really don't know how to sew and I would be afraid of trashing my jerseys....Anyone know of a big and (not so) tall store for jerseys?

I suspect if you took it to a tailor that you trust (or one that has a good rep) they could do the job for you. Try it with an older jersey first if you're nervous about it.

Thanks Monster! I never thought of that, what a great idea. I'll let you know how it turns out.
