anyone carry a gun?

I have a concealed carry permit and carry whenever I leave the house, except when I go ride my bike. I have decided to start carrying when I ride my bike too. Anyone here carry when they ride? how do you carry? Fanny pack?

Where do you ride and when? Remind me to stay off the streets when you do

I hope you're not carrying a cheap, piece of ****, heavy Tec-9. Do you have any IDEA how many grams one of those things weighs?

You're a fed, right? My sister has to carry one with her at all times and I think that's what she carries.

Keep the safety ON, eh? I have relatives in Houston... my friend there would carry his gun concealed all the time. I thought a concealed gun was legal in TX.

Hehe- I'm a cop, and I leave the pistol at home.... I havn't been attacked lately while riding.

Fanny pack would probably be your best bet, go to a law enforcement supply store and check out the quick-to-open packs that incorporate a holster.

Frightening, I am actually more afraid of people who are so scared they feel the need to carry a firearm.

I do plenty of shooting at the range. Heck, I even reload my own ammo. The streets I ride don't really justify ccw. Too much weight and just another thing to worry about. I support anyone who does carry though.

The G19 is a bit hefty for concealed carry. I have one at the house, but would consider something more nimble, in the unlikely event, that I ever wanted to go packin'.

I wonder....

All you folks (especially the urbanites) that are so scared of legal gun owners exercising their Constitutional rights - are you equally concerned with all the gangbangers that pack?

Which of the two is more likely to shoot you?

Easy there yankee cracker, I am all for people exercising their right to own and carry weapons, I was merely practicing my right to voice my opinion on the matter. Go have a cup of clam chowder and cool off.

Libs know the answer to that question. Problem is... it doesn't "fit" their agenda...

Personally, it'd be a really bad idea for me to carry a gun while cycling. The next person who calls me a "***" because I'm wearing lycra shorts would probably end up with a bullet in their face.

They have to be men saying that because the women would think you look hot in them.

Wish that was universally true. When I told my ex about my new road cycling fetish... she informed me that NO men look good in spandex.

Damn, I'm confused. Lance was lookin' pretty fit lined up for the final ITT a couple weeks ago.

Yup - the one and only time it happened to me, the person yelling was a guy.

If a girl told me I looked hot in my lycra, I would look for her white cane. Or I would assume she was referring to my tempurature.

"That's a MAN, baby!" Dude, she's smoking crack. Men in tight, shiny clothes showing off their asses and ample crotches. What could possibly be better?

I'm with Sprocket Man and would probably use it whenever someone got too close. Soooo, this means I don't own a gun

Right because you don't want an armed good guy around if something bad starts to happen.

If I can carry one, I will, problem is in T.O. its illegal, and citizens with guns concealed in public and if it is detected it is treated by the police like a plague, and cops will really over react to that kind of situation,

Your BIG GUNS *flexes biceps* are all you need. When someone tries to rob you, blast 'em!!!!!11!!11!

you'll pwn them noobs cause you a 1337 gangsta!!1!!

Seriously, I have a military background and I've been in situations where I had to carry a firearm;and unfortunately I've had to use it on several occasions.

No offense but you seem to be one of those NRA types. You may have gone through the training to get a CCW permit but you don't know what it means to take a human life.

Killing someone is something you do not want to ever do. It comes with so much mental baggage you'll never be able to sleep. Trust me.

On top of that, as a general rule of thumb, if you need to carry a gun to feel safe going somewhere it generally isn't a place you should be. And carrying a gun generally leads to shooting it.
