Me too but I'm at work. Plus, I can't handle riding in this summer heat (95+).

I had a great time riding today in eastern MA. It's 95, but the humidity is way down from a few days ago, so it's much more comfortable.

I've found the more I bike in hot weather (most of this summer!), the more my tolerance for the heat goes up. It used to be that I thought 80 was sweltering; now I'm saying that 95 is comfortable

I couldn't do it last week, though. Tried to ride when it was 101 and really humid. I only made it 4 miles and drank half my water bottle!

I've just been out riding. Another 1,000 metre climb. My addiction is satiated for another day.

Went for a 30 mile spin this afternoon. 24C, little wind, perfect riding IMHO. Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

I'm taking it easy as well. Went out this morning on my usual Sunday morning ride of 70Km.

I was grounded today(by me) it seems I have been neglecting my househlod duties. Don't you think a bicycle powered vacuum cleaner would be a good thing? Tomorrow though bright and early off to visit mom and dad in Seattle. ( they seem to be the only ones proud of this 46 year old commuter)

I took my bike in for a tune-up Thursday and I'm not getting my Trek back until Wednesday. Aaurgh! So in the 1-2 hours I spend every day on my bike, instead I'm sleeping in, reading the paper, watching television ... and essentially going stir-crazy in the meantime.

I never thought it would be like this, but in the past three days I haven't slept well, I've been super-edgy and the lack of exercise has affected me.

So what do I do until Wednesday, as far as that release? And as far as maintenance, should I learn how to tune up my own bike, or leave it to the pros and face a week's worth of serious withdrawl?

I think if I had to go a week without my bike I would have to do some hiking.I usually roadride and a nice hike through the forrest is a nice change of pace.

Hillyman before last week I'd have said no, but then I took my wife and kids on a 4.5 hour walk through the forests to see some waterfalls. and it was wonderful.

I don't just mean the waterfalls, it was everything, as you said the change of pace was refreshing the views were excellent and yes the waterfalls were wet .

It's something I going to do more often.
