Stiffest MTB shoe

Well the thread title pretty much says it all, just curious as to what MTB shoe would be most comparable to a road shoe in the stiffness department. I currently have a pair of Specialized but I do get some hot spots from time to time and am trying to avoid buying new pedal right now if I can.
