Did the ride last year, but not this year.

Last year, organization Start was messy, not much to do by stand and wait. Biggest problem was on the donations end. Two of my pledges had their money mis-applied, and after several tries we couldn't get it straigtened out. I had to throw in another $150 to make the ride minimum.
The ride itself was fun. but don't expect to see much of Lance. He arrived at the last minute, said a few words, led off with the sponsors (everyone else following way back), and split from the main group early to join the cross country team.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to do the ride?
I did it just to be able to say "I rode with Lance Armstrong." (impresses the natives )
And are you proposing to raise the matching money and kick it in as an extra donation?

I you want to actually see Lance, better to do a solo ride that the morning and be at the Ellipse for the ride-in of Lance and the across-country team.

I wish that I could do the ride in DC. One of my riding buddies ,from our group, is doing the cross-country ride and some of our group is going to DC to ride the 50 miles. If one of our guys isn't going to be able to make it, then I will let you know.
