Ok so i went to my LBS and.. i need help!

i went to my LBS today to get new tires...the trails i ride on have alot of steep hills with some grass and some very hardpacked dusty dirt i also ride on pavement and gravle alot...he told me to put WTB Volaci Raptor 2.1s on the front and Maxxis WormDrives on the back which are 1.90 i like to ride fast and be in control i also hit some small jumps and do alot of bunny hopping/wheelies is this a good decision?!

Here, I will hold your hand. Do you want skinny tires or fat tires.....tires with less tread tend to roll faster of course, and some with alot of tread in the right pattern will also roll fast. I have a friend that has a Giant AC air, and the stock tires on that roll really good and they are 2.3's I think.....their like WTB mutano raptors or some sh*t.

yes i understand all that but do u think this is a good setup..?! if so ill go with it

Maxxis worm drive is a semi slick pizza cutter, if you ride on hard pack surfaces it should be good. And the front tire....I dont really have anything to say about it....its a front tire, and looks like it will roll pretty fast. Why dont you order the tires online at pricepoint, cambria, supergo or whatever other site? Then you can look at them and decide also..

I had problems with loosing traction on loose terain, i got specialized rockster pro's, they are described as a hard conditions tire, but they worked real well in sandy-er terain as well as on hard packed clay!

coming from a IRC Mythos, these are a great improvement...

But it sounds like you want an all conditions tire...

try another lbs? more than one opinion could steer you towards something that may work for you?
