This weekend was a washout

I'm certainly glad OLN is presenting the Vuelta a Espania (sp??) and the Grand Prix of San Francisco this weekend because tropical depression ??NAME?? sure has put a damper on everyone's riding.
Heavy rain Friday night, rain Saturday, rain today, maybe rain tomorrow. :irritated

It's getting to be "that" time of year so guess I'll have to start looking around for a new trainer.

Sorry to hear about your weekend Ron. Although August was a bit iffy here, September is making up for it. Don't move indoors just yet....maybe you just need to "go west young man" to get away from the wet!

I was able to get out for about 45 minutes yesterday before I got a good drenching. I was hoping to get out today but it's still quite soggy.

I had that problem last weekend -- lots of messy weather for the last few weeks thanks to some tropical weather in the Gulf of Mexico and other weather problems that have kept me in on most days. Finally got in a couple of evening rides this week and was also able to get in my normal weekend ride on Saturday after missing last weekend. I was really going stir-crazy because I'm just now getting settled in with this new bike after not riding for about 10 years, and I've been making steady progress in both speed and distance these past several weeks.

Wasn't it Hanna? The storm? I guess it can put a big damper on anything outdoors. Ah, the joys of living iin a hurrican zone!

We had some rain over night- I heard thunder in the wee hours. However, it stopped by the time I got up and we were abl e to get out for a mud ride. Mud pack, dahling, it's fantastic!

I wish we would have that problem here. No sign of "BAD WEATHER" at all. The mercury went up to 112F at our house this weekend and today it hit 105.
I can not wait to get some foul weather.

Sorry to hear about your wash out! When the weather is rotten for me, I go to the gym and take a spin class. The gym I belong to also has an indoor pool so I take advantage of that. Usually, I have to drag myself to the gym, I would rather be outdoors any day of the week than inside a smelly gym. However, it is a good change of pace. Hope the weather clears up for you soon so you can get back into riding. It rained where I live today and is going to keep raining till Monday evening. I was lucky though, I was able to go to the bike path and ride for a while before the rain set in!!!!
