I've been riding Look for 10 plus years and never had a problem.

I understand that Look pedals become unclipped often during a hard climb, if you turn your foot out to gain leverage, it uncoils the spring, leaving you in a fix. Try Speedplay or equivalent (non-spring loaded) pedals for hard riding. Look pedals are the prettiest, if that's what you like.

I had a one Look pedal fall apart once, but it had about 10k miles on it. I don't know remember which model it was. I replaced those with another pair of Look pedals and have had no problems. I like them.
