I see I'm not the only one looking to inflate the post count without actually mentioning anything about ... well, you know, the focus of this forum.

I find it vaguely annoying to be referred to as "junior" anything, which is why I want to get a few more posts in. Even just a generic "member" is better than junior. I can only dream of the day when I could become "Sumo Wrestler." No doubt that title requires a certain level of quality as well as quantity of posts....

I still get carded for alcohol purchases at 41 years old. I really try to consider this a compliment. I've gotten pretty good at lying about how good it feels to be mistaken for someone half my age. Sometimes I want to tell the cashier, "You're about my daughter's age." But that is not the Grace of an elder gentleman, is it? The only problem is, I don't look like my driver's license pic anymore! Maybe when my gray starts comin' in...

I tried to like Spam once, but I failed miserably. Even this Spam is...kinda awful.)

At the ancient wizened age of 46 summers, I also find it vaguely disturbing to be referred to as "sir", too. Maybe I'm just vaguely irritable, or just vague.

Still, I figure riding a bike will keep me in better shape than a couch potato half my age.

Out of idle curiosity (and how could it be anything but idle where this thread is concerned?), have we heard anything else from Geraldine? Has she tried posting anything else? Do we know anything else about her except her unhealthy preoccupation with casinos and the fact that she turned 41 last January?

I have this vague (a favorite adjective lately) half formed theory that she's actually a retired sumo wrestler from the snowy midwest with a soft spot for weight weinies and good drivers. At this very moment she's roaming the streets of Tucson on a Huffy with a worn out coaster brake, carrying a can of spam (or maybe maps fo nac - you figure it out) and looking for a Carl's jr. to park and eat (oops, wrong thread).

Or maybe not....

*shrug* As far as i can tell Geraldine has not came back to the forums, if (s)he does, (s)he will not beable to do anything, i made a new usergroup just for spammers, call the "banned" group :) They can visit the site, they cant email users, they cant use PM's, they cant post new topics, or replies, and they cant logout and re-register under a new username without deleting all cookies while not connected to the net, and re-starting the computer, im hoping that this alone will be enought to stop the spam...

Geraldine originaly posted 11 times in 11 different forums (open topic, mtb, bmx, road, racing ect...) i deleted all other posts within a few minutes, i doubt anyone else saw the post. This is the only one i left open, hopefully some of the lurkers will notice that spam sucks (see my sig).

btw, if my spelling is bad tonite, i have a good reason, uh, its the same as badgers, but im not in school, or have a 2nd job, or had a bad night of sleep... ;)

With spell-checker or not, you're doing an awsome job. And unless they let me bring my bicycle into the casino, I don't care if Geraldine ever gets through.

Looks like you have a pretty effective method of keeping out spam. I'm pretty sure I've never seen any here. How often do you get hit by spammers?

Carl, i get hit with a bit of spam a few times a month. Not too much, its easy to take care of, i usualy catch it within a few min. If you ever see spam or posts that dont belong on the forum, you can click the little "warn" icon at the bottom of that post. That sends me and the moderator of that forum an email to clean up the mess :)

My many thanks to Geraldine for providing us with such a pointless message thread. It provided me with a venue for enough silly, pointless and shamelessly self-promoting posts to get my 25th message on the board.

I may have to get a can of spam and celebrate...

Joe, I don't think 2-word posts like Pete Clark's "Excuses. Excuses." should count. I mean, it took me a well over a month to get Senior Member, and I was self-conscious about posting so much. I noticed when That Pete Clark character first started posting that he had achieved SM in just a few days. Come on, Joe, can't we have some kind of standards?

No young whippersnapper I - in fact, I'll planning to go for a ride with my granddaughter this evening.

Age and maturity are only peripherally related. Christa (Mrs. HogWild to the rest of you young hooligans...) says they are particularly disconnected in my case.
