Has a ped or cager dropped to an epileptic seizure from your blinkie lights?

I wondered about this last night as I was riding past a group of people. You never know when your blinkie lights might have an adverse effect on someone. Like what happened to that lady in the scene from the Andromeda Strain movie.

Don't know about peds or cagers, but my granddaughter goes into a trance whenever I turn my blinkies on for her.

Cool babysitting tip. Next time I have to babysit the nephews, I'm gonna tie them down and stick a blinky in their faces.

Maybe someone that is having an acid trip flashback from the 70's, or that one person who can get hypnotized to quit smoking and lose weight.

I was always worried about that...both seizure and the "what the heck is that...." aspects of using blinkies.

I tend to just leave it solid, unless the weather is really bad, then I set one to blink and one solid.

Lights have to strobe at a certain rate to cause a seizure. I'm sure that the light manufacturers would keep this in mind when setting the blink rate.

If you are moving fast enough, you wouldn't know it if it happened. People would drop and start foaming at the mouth while you are a quarter of a mile away.

The Wang Chung video "Everybody Have Fun Tonite" was reported to have caused seizures due to the flickering imagery. I found it caused nausea, but that's that was the case with most mid-80's music.

I doubt the blinkie lights could cause such an affect. However, when working with a former DotCom, the tech crew would play video games on the LAN after hours. One guy did experience seizures while playing one of those games. I ended up getting a phone call late one night from one of my technicians informing me that one of my staff members was in the hospital because of it.

There really is a certain kind of epilepsy that is started by bright red lights....(from when I worked for neurologists).

I have no seizure problems, I'm immune to stupid blinking lights or flickering lights.
