BF "sponsered Ads"... now with photos!

The annoying sponser ads have changed... they now have photos...

Funny thing is they are advertising 140 dollar mountain bikes... |

Comments?

I'm a big believer in Firefox with the Adblock Plus and Filterset.G Updater extensions... hardly ever see an online ad these days. Mind you, I do contribute to the occasional site (such as this one) which is found to be actually useful.

Bingo.

I didn't know this was a fringe benefit of 'upgrading' my BF membership... the red star is good for that!

There are still ads? I had forgotten all about them.

My contribution was money well spent.

I've forgotten about the ads too. 25 bucks was some well spend money, very well spent. The red star alone is worth 20, 5 for the lack of ads

No, supporting the site and Joe was worth the $25, and the ads, avatar and red star were a bonus... lol

working on my red star. seriously, it's on my shopping list, right below "food" and "rent", and above "SS wheelset"

I do enjoy the mongoose ads though. maybe i'll get me one of them full-suspension models.

I think I'll have to log out and then view the forums, just so I can see the ads.

If you have a blue star, you just see all those clips from the women's beach volleyball championships, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition ads.

I don't actually mind the ads. Usually I just tune them out, but sometimes I even click on them, which is why I have not got round to getting a red star.

I did like seeing those ads from time to time...

Sometimes funny to see what comes up on there.

I still remember some of the more more bizarre threads, like a campy vs shimano thread that had a lingerie ad in the middle of it....now I wouldn't mind seeing some attractive females riding around on bikes in that stuff...but that's best left for indoors....and what does it have to do with campy or shimano? (...and more importantly....do I really want to know?)

Money well spent, I hated reading a thread and scrolling to the next post to find that it was an ad, tricked my eyes everytime.

I seem to recall a thread that was complaining about how obnoxious and wasteful Hummers were. Because the title had 'Hummer' in it, an ad for Hummers popped up in the middle.
