Snowshoeing and Cross-country skiing ... for free on January 7th

For those who have considered trying snowshoeing or cross-country skiing ...... but weren't sure what gear to get, or how to get started, etc. ...... here's your chance to learn a bit about the sports.

"Winter TrailsŪ Day 2006 will occur on January 7, 2006, in various locations throughout North America. First-timers will have the opportunity to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for free at more than 100 locations nationwide.
Winter Trails Day, now entering its 11th year, offers children and adults NEW to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for FREE, and to discover the great fitness and social benefits with these easy-to-learn winter sports."

Kool, I used to do cross country skiing. Although after I moved here, I switched downhill skiing then snowboarding.
