I saw a couple setting up for a garage sale. No bikes, unfortunately.

Nothing today, but part of my ride takes me by the bay and I have seen dolphins, stingrays, sharks, and sea terapins (sp?). On one strange day I saw a tree filled with green parrots. I guess somebody let their pets lose and they did some serious breeding.

Yesterday, after work, I rode about fifty miles through the hilliest, nicest section of Philadelphia.

I saw a lot of houses which I will never be able to afford.

I ran across this thread after my ride today. It is funny the things you go by for years and don't see from the car,but go by one time on the bike and wow, where did that come from. I was on my first long ride today with my new bike and was getting ready to turn left on to another road. I saw a tree at the intersection that I have ignored in the car and there is a sign in front of the tree. World War Peace Tree--Planted in 1918--Never saw this before.

Buy a bike--See the world.

None of you guys are riding hard enough. I saw a strip of pavement about 18 inches wide. If there's anything worth looking at, my stoker is supposed to tell me.

I saw a whole lot of lake, the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue, a rescue helicopter (EMS exposition at one of the parks), sunning turtles, and lots of walkers, joggers, dogs, and folks in canoes and kayaks. Mr. Longhorn and I did the 10.5 mile loop around Town Lake in downtown Austin.

On yesterday's and today's ride I saw 0 other bikers in 45 miles. What's up with that?

I was walking up on the ridge behind our house this morning and saw a full grown red fox. He came out of the brush into the clearing about 15 feet ahead of me and trotted off in the other direction. He never even saw me.

4 rattle snakes (one dead, caught and released one 'cause he was in the middle of the trail and most trail users around here are not sure what do do in that situation), a bobcat and 3 coyots, lots of turkey vultures, a few hawks, some guy with his face in the dirt from a crash(he was fine). Just the usual.

Over the past two weekends - horses, cows, goats, turtles, geese, baby geese, dogs, cats, fish (in a stream when I was taking a break) squirrels, snakes (really cool green one that I swear jumped when I rode by) frogs, hawks, and maybe an eagle -- not bad for a city girl!

I see that everyday, but I'm riding through one of the nicest areas outside DC, not Philly. Nice to look at, though.

A few kids out riding, lots of boaters on the sand bar, but not much in the way of wildlife. I didn't leave the 'hood anyway and didn't feel well.

5 bikes and three walkers/runners going the other way on the bridge, which has a bike/ped path that requires one person to stop to allow the other past.
