When to stretch my Brooks the 1st time?

When to stretch my Brooks the 1st time?
I love the bounce my year old Brooks has now. Makes my ride much more comfy. But does that mean I need to stretch it a tad now?

If it's comfortable, you don't have to adjust it. If it is uncomfortable, AND it is sagging in a manner that accentuates the discomfort, then tighten it. How much depends on the cow it was made out of apparently.
For reference, 6 full turns (when the saddle was WET! Dry would probably tear the leather) is enough to stretch all the conformance out of it and make it as smooth as it was the day you bought it. So any adjustment to an otherwise comfortable saddle should be very minor, and try it out for a bit before tightening any more.

Quarter turns? 6 full turns? And while it's wet??? I'm confused boys.
I guess I'll just sit on it for awhile and see how it feels 6 months from now.

Whoa! Thanks for pointing that out Mchaz! Ive seen so many brooks posting I usally just pass over them. So I guess I better take mine out of the toilet now.

I turned mine a quarter of a turn at the 6000 mile mark. Haven't touched it since. Brooks says to adjust only 1/4 turn at a time. Very easy to ruin a good saddle.

After two years and 8,000 miles I've never stretched my Brooks B-17 and don't know that I'll ever need to.
