I am glad to see it is in my neck of the woods this year. The only year I have joined in was in 2001 when it stopped in Coralville. This summer I am going to try to do at least the last two days.

That must be why they limit it to 8,500 riders, along with about 1500 riders (estimatated total at 10,000) who are not registered.

I see they are going to extend the ride across Illinois this year. With a little luck, the path may allow me to ride home.

I was getting greedy. I live in Clinton Iowa and was hoping it would end here again.


I've been conditioning with fulltime winter commuting on my old Fuji. I want to be ready when I have my Sakae Prism completed for this ride.
