Hey DenverFox, enjoy your snow but don't send it this way!

Keep that snowstorm in Colorado- I don't want it here in Missouri. I want to get in a few more weeks of riding before winter sets in :-)

We need the snow desperately here, as most of our reservoirs are less than half full or even empty. So, if you don't mind, I will just keep it here, making skiing good and reservoirs full.

PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT I HAVE ISSUED A BIKEFORUMS PROCLAMATION THAT THE SNOW MUST STAY HERE, UNDER PENALTY OF EVAPORATION!!

Do you want mine too? ...but then that would shut down this ski resort and help out our main north american competition. I really can't have that can I

No, but I am walking. We took a 2 mile walk after all of my preop tests for my upcoming operation today. Really nice. (The temp rose to 22 F.

hehe, but it's true, if colorado doesn't get a lot of snow Lake Mead (our reservoir wannabe lake fed by the colorado) will drop another 10-20 feet, or more (already down some 50-70 ft), and us desert folk will run out of water (bad thing )

Which raises that eternal question-

How did Colorado folks get duped into giving their water to Nevada and California? I guess at that time we just came in off the turnip truck.

We are supposed to get another dump of snow tomorrow evening - Halloween.

Hey, the mountains have 3 feet - plus artificial snow. Great early season skiing.

Feel free to send some this way if yuo have any to spare! Of course, it would melt as soon as it got within a squillion miles of this place, but that's OK. We need rain too!

Well, the insurance company denied the Pittsburgh Hospital adventure. Even if they had approved, it would have cost me $thousands$ since it would have been out of network.

So, I have located an excellent neurosurgeon here in Denver who is quite experienced in this operation. Met with him last week. He took over an hour just to talk with Nora and me, and he is highly recommended by others who have had operations like this.

So, I am scheduled for the TN ( https://www.tna-support.org/ ) operation on November 18 - yes, just 2 weeks away!! It is about a 4-5 hour operation (actual operating time of 3-3.5 hours). I will then go to Intensive Care for one day (standard after this type of op) and then to a ward. Total time in the hospital will be 3 days minimum up to 7. One of the things that happens is that in order to get at the Trigeminal Nerve they must move the nerve which controls your nausea, so I expect vomiting and discomfort for some time afterwards.

There is NO guarantee that this will resolve my problem, although it does in 80-90% of cases.
