is it right
Hope this goes to the right place.I can't imagine cycling in the U.S.A what with the massive freeways and the dirt tracks you see on U.K. tv and the city traffic it must be horrendous , probably way off the mark with this thought.

I can't imagine cycling in UK, trying to stay to the left instead of to the right :D...

http://www.digave.com/videos/red-web.mpg Do you mean dirt tracks like this: http://www.pambamtb.org/terry/LandOfBGR.wmv |
yeah, don't believe everything you see on the media about any foreign place. The entire US is not like Los Angeles with tonnes of traffic and bikini-clad chics skating on the beach. There's quite a lot of diversity and you can pick from the highest-density metropolitan cities to rural forest wilderness in just a 50km drive. :)

Since I have lived here in the 'hood my whole life, it was pretty fun to see all of the tourist places and then go kill everyone. Gee, now why would the OP be scared of riding in America? :D |
I live in a county of about 1.2 million people. I can ride roads 20-30 minutes from my home and not see an automobile for several miles.

Confused :(. You guys talking about GTA? Getaway is based in London, England :).
I've always had the impression England is full of hooligans from Liverpool :D... of course, I'm kidding! |
The freeways aren't too bad. It's the dirt tracks you have to worry about. I'll be damned if I don't get blocked by two or three dirt tracks each day. Two or three minimum. Well, except for last Thursday when there were five. That brings up the average just a bit. I'd say then, a solid four dirt tracks each day. Sorry, one of those was a gravel track. You're right, it's quite confusing because I'm not sure what a dirt track is now that I think about it.
