Kelly Take-Offs

I read about these on Rivendell's website, and they seem to think they're a good thing. I was just wondering, does anyone out there use them, and if so, do you like them?

What are the pros and cons of this set-up?

By the by, post some pics of your handlebar set-up if you use them. I'm very curious, as I'm looking into a conversion on my commuter at present. Thanks for the info.

Maybe a couple of links will help.

Thoughts?

Maybe try posting in the road cycling forum? I dunno, I've got flat handlebars and don't anticipate getting drops any time soon.

I'll stay with STIs. Cleaner looking and probably easier.

STI cleaner looking? Your style definitely isn't like mine!

Campagnolo Ergo looks clean because shifter cables are hidden beneath handlebar tape, and ditto for bar-end shifters if you run the cables all the way underneath the bar tape. Of course, the cleanest look comes with downtube shifters, but you may not like the access.
