It sounds simplistic I know...but it seems the the only available colours are black, white, blue, red, yellow and carbon. Whilst theres a considerable number of mixed 'splash' types and lots of 'duck egg celeste' ones, i cannot find just plain green cork tape easily!. The best i've got is here: http://www.bikeribbon.com/product_de...ct=a&subprod=a

No. SC/CO12 - but you cannot buy direct :(, English distributors are not confirmed/poor site management.

Any other manufacturers?

I've been trying to find that too....been having a devil of a time.

Deda makes it. Surely you can find distributors for it just about everywhere.

I don't know about green cork tape, but my mother's 1971 Gitane had green tape-- but it was a transparent or semi-transparent plastic. I can't remember the name of the stuff, but I think I've seen discussions of it in a forum somewhere. Sorry, I know that's practically useless information...

Benotto is that jelly stuff. I remember having some bars with that on in the 80's - really sticky slippy stuff! - not nice.

Can you use those on non-curved, non-roadie type handle bars? I've been looking into replacing my stock rubber handlebar grips with a different color.

Here's the little tank:

I actually want to get those Brooks leather tape, if they are compatible.

I would only put that stuff on a restoration for display purposes only -- I wouldn't ride with that stuff. When I was a kid, my Varsity came with bars wrapped with that plastic tape -- horrible.

For flat or riser bars, I'd stick with the grips. They're just more practical and comfortable. You can get grips in colors. Check with your local bike shop.

You can get laced leather grips plus rubber grips in other colors.
