Drop Bar mountian bikes

I had just gotten a vintage road bike out the trash, I chost to part it because of a band in the frame, and not stock wheels. Then I got an idea. I have a old-ish roadmaster MTB that I restored, from my uncle, his house flooded in old metarie so he gave the bike to me. And I am building it up to run errands on it, and I was looking at the parts, and the roadmaster, and I got a great idea! Put the roadie's bars and stem on the MTB! I tried it and it fits! It looks real good too! feels awesome! And it dosent look out of place because I have semi slicks on it. I should have pics by friday, or this weekend. Tell me what you think.

Nothing looks out of place in N'awlins.

Should be a cool ride for those immaculately smooth and clean roads down there.

I trained for a double century once on a MTB and was hurting from lack of hand positions. I attached a set of drop bars under the regular flat bars and it worked. Controls were still on the flat bars.

I finished it, and rose it today. I converted the shifters to stem shifters. Its a wonder how faster and better it handles. And it does way better on rough rocky roads then my road bike. I really like it Pics should come tommorw.
