A Big Question!

Okay so I am a man who is very very poor. I am planning on starting to get a mountain bike. Which moutain bike do you think is the best for a really cheap price. I have a range from $100-$350 to spend. Big Thanks to anyone that helps me.

www.craigslist.com

Ebay is good also, but Craigslist is divided locally and gives you an opportunity to see something in person before you buy it.

Your LBS can provide you with a good bike for that price. I have a couple Trek 4300's that i bought in that price range. One has over 8,000 miles and the other is over 5,000. So I'd have to say they are "good."

My dad put 15K on an old, heavy GT but that didnt make it a good bike,it wasnt.

I did a test ride on a Giant Sedona mtb in that range. Had I wanted a mountain bike, I would have gone for it.

This doesn't help right now, but depending on your locality, a lot of bike shops cut prices steeply sometime between fall and early spring to clear room for next year's model.

A bike shop near me just sold a Specialized Roubaix (?) road bike, very nice looking with a Tiagra/105 component group for about $300.
