I don't think it would have any adverse effect on your cycling but I would be careful if you have a Terry Saddle.

Fetish Boy,
You'd better be careful in a crash. You could "get caught" and do some serious damage on your bike OR someone elses.

WHAT were you thinking!!!!!**********???
Did you just awaken one morning, and, while taking your daybreak pee, think "Hmmmm.... think I'll hammer a nail through the ol' willie... then I can hang this spare earring on it."???
I'll bet that if I'd offered to nail your willie to the tabletop you'd have not-so-politely refused.
That said, it does present a novel useage...
...what a great place to hang your keys when you haven't any pockets!
Whatever. What do I know, I'm obviously too old. Enjoy the body jewelry. I do hope that nothing leaks...

i think the general rule of thumb while riding is "no jewelery".
i once did a 24 hr. race in freezing temps and found that i had to remove my earrings. i can't err uhm...imagine what would happen in your case.
p.s. what does your wife/girlfriend/S.O. think???

Well, I think youngsters find topics much worse and plenty of smut on the internet that is much worse than a pierced ahh-hem.
This forum for the most is pretty wholesome but this is still the internet and unless something is XXX why shouldn't it be on here? This is the Open discussion thread and any topic is fair game. We are only having fun responding to this thread.
Trust me, youngsters hear much worse than the word ahh-hem in their everyday lives.

Seriously, CFB, I would be concerned about the risk of infection.
That is one member I would not care to part with.
Please be careful!
Piercing body parts such as the penis is not the same as piercing an ear from a health standpoint. Once started, infections can spread, causing loss of entire body parts.
A piercing salon is not exactly a surgeon's office.

Geeze Guys it does have bike content, however some other folks have let it drift over to personal commentary. Why bag on CFB?
I agree with poptart - no jewelry on rides. Getting launched off the bike and skidding on your front side could be damaging....I remove my wedding band when working with power equipment I should carry that over to the bike as I sweep my tires with a gloved hand on the fly.
No pictures were posted, the topic was self explanatory, you can avoid it if you choose to. I post here at work and chose not to follow his link. Still haven't looked at it. Please don't overmoderate the board.

I'll leave the thread removal to Joe, I won't be offended if it is.
Why did I do it?
My wife had a nipple pierced - liked it, so I decided(after 3 months or so of research) to have it done.
The Gotee and Tatoos
No chance
What does the wife think?
Likes it.
Infections?
Very small risk, urine is the most sterile fluid you're body produces. So to an extent you have a self-clensing routine, on top of the normal anti-bacterial washes, rock salts etc.....
Downhiller?
Nope, to scared - just a mere Roadie

Oh goodie, I can't wait until the girls (Hielo and GNG) hear this one. No offense CFB, but you just set yourself up for a future part in our laugh-fest. Don't worry, it's all in good fun.....
Yes, like Joe Pozer said, DEFINITELY DO NOT try the Terry Liberator saddle. You don't want to get that whole contraption stuck..... yikes!

OUCH!!!!
I have all kinds of questions about if CFB but maybe I'll just go with my imagination.
I agree with not removing this thread. I don't find it offensive personally.
I didn't check out the link listed earlier but I wonder if it's the one about us girls actually meeting for a ride. An interesting subject came up there about Terry Saddles. If that is the link, you're safe with that post unless laughing is a problem.
Okay Marcy and GNG, more topics for discussion at our next ride.

Might as well jump in here!
First of all, I don't think you will want to remove your jewelry for a while...give the hole a chance to heal up.
Second of all, I assume that you wear proper clothes while riding. For me, this is padded biking shorts. With the padding, your PA should be well protected...and if you crash hard enough that the padding gets torn away, a piercing is not going to be an issue anyway, you will have other much worse problems!
As Dirtsqueezer said, I don't wear rings for safety reasons....but if you are man enough to brush your tires off on the fly with your PA...well, I hope I haven't said anything that offended you!!

Actually, Cambronne, that was excellent use of English; I let loose with a hearty guffaw! As to the "object" of his piercing, what the hay! It's CFBs body, more power to him! But still, my testicles go into hiding every time I think of it!
