what is the perfect cycling weather???
I was wondering what everyone thinks is the pefect temperature for riding? I think 16- 20 celsius, light winds and clear skies works for me. I don't want it too cold, or too hot.

Winds gusting to 25+ mph, just above freezing, with spits of rain and tiny little sleet pieces driving like cold needles into your skin, while you struggle not to get blown off the road from the more vicious gusts. Of course, as you fight that, a truck comes by and interrupts the wind, so that you almost fall into the road instead.
No...wait...that was my commute this morning, and was the OPPOSITE of perfect weather.

100+ degrees F, 100% humidity, lots of bugs that keep getting in under your helmet via the air vents, heavy SUV traffic on roads with no shoulder at all, SUV drivers that are holding their cell phones in one hand and their lattes in the other while checking their hair in their inside mirrors, squashed roadkill that has to be dodged while displacing the SUVs.
No...wait...that is my ride EVERY DAY (pretty much year round, except when hurricanes come).

I once took this ride in Vermont that was my favorite....It was sunny and about 75 degrees out. While I was out working up a sweat, a light rain fell for about 30 minutes. Just enough to refresh and cool off. Then, the sun came back out and by the time I got home I was dry and feeling good. That was perfect to me.

I Like it to be about 25 centigrade and overcast skies. If it really hot out I dont mind a real good downpour.
Night is always nice because I can ride without a shirt and not get burned, kinda like on the overcast days.

I would have to say 65-70 F, no clouds, possible slight breeze to no breeze, and the ride has to start at 530 because its just so incredibly nice out.

About 75F, lightly raining pinot noir and brie, but still sunny enough for all the hot womens to take off all their clothes for a game of volley-wrestle-ball, I'd get to play the winners, with a 20 mph tail wind everywhere I go, except when I stop, then it turns into a nice balmey 5 mph breeze, blowing in some nice 65 F air, just chilly enough that I have to stop and warm up those ladies who are working so hard at their game. Oh, they so sweaty, and naughty, and I'm running out of commas, but look, it's raining commas now.

75-80F, Puffy clouds, no wind to light winds, low humidity. Usually May or Late Septmeber weather here in NJ. But I don't mind the heat either.

The perfect weather is when I am able to be on my bike and Outside.
I have riden from 20-98F snow, sleet, freezing rain, fog, high humidity, bugs so bad white clothes looked charcoal colored.
The only thing that I have ever truley disliked was/is the wind.

Today was perfect: 50-60 degrees F. Blue skies. No wind. Rained yeseterday, so all the plants/trees are wet, but the roads are dry.
