Servus!

Why am I reminded of the short story "Flowers for Algernon"?

Just a thought...

Im working on it! I too used the spell checker all the time, sadly, i now need to pay $5 CPM for the spell checker, frankly, i cant afford that! I have been looking for an alternitive, but have not yet found anything yet. I have some ideas on how to pay for the spell checker, but i dont want to get into details just yet

We don't need no stinkin spell check!

Don't do it Joe! Megabuck$ for a $peller, really isn't necessary.
I think it gives a little character to to the forum to just "let her rip" and be ourselves.

I didn't realize that having a spell checker cost that much money. I was just curious about where it went to. But if you can find a spell check for free that would be great!

Maybe i can attach a Spellchecker sticker on my bike for advertising???.............naaah, that spoils my bike!
You know what, Mr. spellchecker , i`ll go back to my oldfashioned dictonary!

Oh, no! The handwriting's on the wall. Joe's going to charge us for each misspelled word! The money will go to fund the spell-checker!

Joe, you also got rid of the links to Performance Bike and REI. What is up with that? I thought they were paying you for the link?

When I can't figure out how to spell a word I just open up Microsoft Word, paste the word in question and then if it is misspelled a red squiggly line appears underneath it. And then I can right click and it will give me several spelling options. Pretty dang cool says I.

That's one of the few things I like about Microsoft Word 2000!

I was using Word 6 and it was so much faster, worked better, everything about it was better, almost. But the spell-checker in Word 2000 is even better than in Word 6, and I also use the "custom" dictionary feature a lot, putting my own words in.

I write my (enormous) journal using Word, so I've written many, many thousands of pages with that program.

Fubar, and others, I am pretty sure there are well-reviewed freeware spellchecking programs for offline use, which of course could be used while you're online, for something like posting. I haven't looked into them because I have MS Word and don't need one, but they could be handy for many users....

A.F. there's still a link to Performance Bike on the home page underneath the General Discussion header. I had to keep looking back there to find it myself.

AF, im going to include a "Shop" link in the header to Performance Bike, I just forgot about it, I wasnt making any money off REI, but performance was helping pay some of the bills Thanks for the reminder!

Jon, if i charged just once cent for each missspeled (sp?) words on this forum, i would be a milionair! (sp?)

Then, says I, GO FOR IT!
By the way, you at least spell my name right. Most people put an "h" in it. Way uncool.
