The blue paint and honey combo is definitely nice. I tend to prefer the honey brooks over the black. Every seat on earth is black... might as well make your's stand out.

Everyone's taste varies. Personally, i think black would look a lot nicer. I have three black brooks saddles, two on mtbs. The honey saddles look a lot better on older, classic bikes or new bikes that resemble older ones.

The black looks better with black sidewalls and blue bike. If you go with honey, you'll need to get some yellow or brown sidewalls

Bikes: highly modified specialized crossroads and GT hybrid (really a [formerly] 12-speed bmx cruiser, made before 'hybrid' took on its current meaning), as yet unmodified redline 925, couple of other projects

either would be nice, but since you're asking about this one that means it's probably what you're leaning toward. go for it. if you decide you don't like it, you can put the honey brooks on another bike (or better yet, build a bike around the saddle) and get a black one for this bike.

The honey colour would look nice, but I wonder how long it would keep its pristine look. I bought a honey Pro at the end of last summer, and did all the usual Proofide treatment etc, but after a few soakings of sweat from trips on the trainer and rollers over the winter, it started to lose its youthful looks. It's getting a certain "weatherbeaten" look, helped along by my attempts to darken the colour by liberal applications of black Kiwi shoe polish (see attached pics.) - the experiment continues…

BTW....you can instantly darken your honey saddle with an application of hair color. I've darkened 2 saddles using permanent hair color.

Get the black. I've got a B-17 in black on my hardtail and it looks appropriate. To each their, own in matters of taste however.

I am in love with the honey colored saddles, but none of the bikes I currently own would look good with one (see my sig for pics of all 3). Oh well, time for a new build, as was suggested earlier??? (I don't think my wife would go for it!)

Blue Trek 520 with honey B-67 at about 800 miles. The underside is liberally treated with melted Sno-Seal. Riding motion, heat and sweat brings it up through.

To each his own. I think brown leather goes with anything. The beauty of the honey brown saddles is how they change color as you use them.

My vote for the OP's blue bike is for the black Brooks, but I love the way Brooks honey saddles "weather" and take on that coloration from use.

A honey Brooks would look good on any bike. But I refuse to put one on any of my mountain bikes. I just could not bear to see it get mangled from the crashing I do offroad. As far as I am concerned there are way too many black saddles out there. IMO black is just saying "we don't know how to be creative here, so we're going black". Another favorite of mine is the Terry Pink saddle. My daughter rides one on her road bike. I'd ride one but the damn thing is definitely suited for a different anatomy. So I am sticking with my Ti honey brown Brooks.

I am not really a fan of Brooks saddles so I would have to say no....to either colour.
