What's your favourite night-time parking spot?

This evening I rode home via my local supermarket. It's in a small arcade & has a security guard on duty til midnight. He doesn't mind if I bring my bike inside the arcade. He'll usually give me a smile or some sort of greeting. I can go into the supermarket, confident my bike will be there when I get back.
This evening, my back wheel was rubbing against the brakes. After a closer look, the wheels not quite "true". He gave me some help adjusting the brakes so the wheel would run smoother & it'll be easier to walk it up the hill home. ( I'll take it to my LBS tomorrow to get it adjusted).
So my vote for best night parking is: Dee Why Arcade (Sydney)

Yes, it is nice when a business welcomes cyclists. A while back, I was locking up my bike outside a restaurant. The manager came outside and asked me to bring the bike inside the restaurant. So, he will be getting more of my business, even though there are many restaurants closer to me.

And, some places do the opposite. Make clear that don't want bikes around. When that happens, I make a point of telling the manager he has lost all of my business. And lost the business of every cyclist I talk with.

The title of the thread brought back some real good memories of my teenage days. Then I realized it meant parking a bike, not...well, you know..."parking."

Maybe that manager wanted you to bring it in just for his parking lot image, thinking of himself and not of you.

I work at a nice hotel property and or owner works like that.

I would bring my bike inside if I rode it to work and lock it up in the maintence room or somthing, if I brought it to work on my truck to go trail riding it would be right next to me outside of the big window at the front desk.

The two Whole Foods stores I shop at have bike racks near the front door and next to the outside eating area. I like that. Lots of people watching the bikes while the owners are shopping.
