Servus!

I was just reading (again) the thread about a possible BikeForums.com jersey and had a fantastic idea. Why not go with a sticker? I am having a custom sticker set made for my bike (didn't come with any) and figured that this would be sort of a "badge of honor" for those of us who share their experiences amongst friends.

The beauty of this is that it would be fairly inexpensive and could easily be offered in a multitude of colors and sizes. No worries about high costs, no doubts about fit, no discussions about style - just something to slap on wherever you want. Stick em on your bike, on your car, your mug at work (tips people off about where you are surfing instead of working...) stick one to your forehead, your clean shaven calves, wherever! I love to put stickers on my helmet and would be proud to give Joe a bit of international advertisement.
I would be much more willing to shell out $10 for five stickers than $50 for a jersey that might not fit me.

I await your thoughts....

Sounds like a good idea to me Ranger. But I still would like to have t-shirt anyway. It would be good advertising for the Forum on a vehicle. Alot more people would see it on my vehicle on the road than on me in the woods!

The only thing i worry about jerseys is the minimum orders, as far as i can tell, most companys have a min order of 50, of course, they all need to be one size, and not everyone here wears a "large" ... bah! With stickers and t-shirts we dont have any of thoes problems...

One was a local one that does jerseys for the local teams, the other was a mail order place, i'll have to check my email for the link / reply with the 50 per size min, i think thats what they said, i'll double check later.

Well, if the jerseys idea ends up not being workable, I would definitely go for T-shirts, with or without stickers. Stickers don't give the visibility T-shirts do. Though I do realize there are several here who don't wear T-shirts as much as I do.

And even if the jerseys don't work for now, maybe next year it would be possible. Sounds like the size issue is the critical one at this point.

BTW, with T-shirts my first choice would be printing on the front of the shirt.

So far on My Bike forum jersey poll, we were able to get 25 cycber buddies who responded, 17 people wanted a short sleeve jersey, and 2 long sleeve jersey, 4 short sleeve t shirt, and 2 long sleeve t. shirt, I guest we have to wait until we get the disired number of people so when we order the jersey or even t-shirt we will not be holding a lemon in our hand

We ordered out team jerseys from Verge, and their order requirement was 25 units - any size, any style. We were able to get short sleve and long sleve jerseys and wind vests, in all sizes, and they were all credited to our minimum order requirement. If we could find an arrangement like this, it would probably be our best bet. This way we could also please more people, because some coule get s/s, and some could get l/s. Just a thought.

Well let me know if you would like any help with this endeavor. Though I do not doubt your capabilities in the realm of jersey ordering, I've found that it never hurts to have another person on board. Therefore, I hereby officially offer my services.

Ranger,
Stickers are a good idea!!!
It looks like jerseys or t-shirt is the preferred item.
Joe or Badger, do you guys have a rough idea of how muck a jersey will cost? over 40 is over my head.

Stickers are great. I don't have to lose 10 more pounds before I feel comfortable wearing a sticker.
